Southern Baptist missionary to Rome, Italy, 1900-1939. A graduate of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, he served as director of the Baptist Theological Seminary for 38 years and administrator of the Italian Baptist Mission for some 35 years. He also worked as an editor. Susy Whittinghill was the daughter of the George B. Taylors, pioneer missionaries in Italy, and granddaughter of J.B. Taylor, first corresponding secretary of the Foreign Mission Board. She was a nurse.
