Edgar Thomas Collins (b. March 7, 1873, Williamsport, Pennsylvania-d. Feb. 10, 1933, Washington, D.C.), Major General in the U.S. Army, graduated from the U.S. Military Academy in 1897, served in the Spanish-American War and in World War I as chief of staff, 85th Division. Following the War, General Collins held a number of staff and infantry instructor assignments, becoming commander of the Infantry School at Fort Benning in 1926. He retired in May 31, 1932 as Assistant Chief of Staff in the War Department.
