David John Markey (b. Oct. 7, 1882, Frederick, Maryland-d. 1982), Brigadier General in the U.S. Army from 1917 to 1919, and Major General with the Maryland National Guard from 1898 to 1916 and from 1919 to 1947. He served in the Spanish-American War and with the American Expeditionary Forces during World War I and was a Republican nominee for the U.S. Senate in 1946.
