Hegeman, Louis R.
Joe Jackson was one of eight Chicago White Sox players identified with the conspiracy to 'throw' the 1919 World Series vs. the Cincinnati Reds. All eight players, known as the Black Sox, were banned from baseball in 1921 by Commissioner Kenesaw Mountain Landis, and have remained on Baseball's ineligible list.
