Candler family.
Samuel Charles Candler (1809-1873) married Martha Bernetta Beall (1819-1897) in 1833. Their eleven children included Atlanta philanthropist and businessman, Asa Griggs Candler (1851-1929), Methodist Bishop Warren Akin Candler (1857-1941), and Florence Julia Candler Harris (1842-1926); their grandchildren included Atlanta philanthropist Charles Howard Candler, horse sportsman, Walter Turner Candler, and businessman Samuel Charles Candler.
