Donald Ervin Powellek (b. Aug. 4, 1927-d. Nov. 2, 1992, Ramsey County, Minn.) was a member of the Plaisted Polar Expeditions in 1967 and 1968, serving as a radio man, and the deputy leader of the team. When the team reached the North Pole in 1968 he was at the base camp.
