Sioux Falls, Yankton and South Western Railway Company.
Incorporated in 1889 under the laws of the state of South Dakota, the company purposed to construct and operate a railway line from Sioux Falls to Yankton (S.D.). Construction funds were advanced by GN and construction was completed during 1893. In July 1893, the line was sold to the Willmar and Sioux Falls Railway Company, which operated it from that point forward.
