Gehringer, Josephine.
Charlie Gehringer played his entire career with the Detroit Tigers (1924-1942). Upon his retiring, Gehringer coached for the Tigers then became vice-president and general manager from 1951-1953. He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1949.
