Stoney, Louisa Cheves, 1868-1939.
Charleston, S.C. poet. Louisa Cheves Stoney was the daughter of Augustine Thomas Smythe (1842-1914) and Louisa Rebecca McCord (1845-1928). She married Samuel Gaillard Stoney (1853-1926) in 1890. Her grandfather was Thomas Smyth (1808-1873), pastor of the Second Presbyterian Church of Charleston, S.C.
