Koch, Theodore F., 1854-1940

Koch was born in Looward, Holland (April 1, 1854) and emigrated to the United States (1884), settling in Clara City, Minnesota, but also lived in St. Paul, Chicago, a number of cities in Texas, and on the West Coast. He pursued a number of widely varied business enterprises, mostly land development in Minnesota, Texas, and other states. He was also an emigration agent for Dutch immigrants and established a number of agricultural colonies.

Koch married Clara Hoeborn on April 12, 1887. His son, Theodore W., was associated with a number of business enterprises. Koch died in Braunfels, Texas (Sept. 19, 1940) and was buried in St. Paul, Minnesota. More detailed biographical information is located in the collection.
