Farish, Linn M.

Farish, Stanford class of 1924, was a petroleum geologist. He fought during World War II, first in the British Army and then in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper. He was assigned to rescue Allied flyers stranded in Yugoslavia. He died September 11, 1944, in a plane crash in Greece.
