Haines, William C. (William Cassius), 1887-1956
Variant namesWilliam Cassius Haines, also known as Will Haines and Cyclone Haines, (b. February 1, 1887, Noble County, Ohio- d. April 7, 1956, St. Louis, Missouri), worked for the U.S. Weather Bureau in Washington as a meteorologist. He served as senior meteorologist on the first and second Byrd Antarctic Expeditions.
