Fergot (1922- ), born in Embarrass (Wisconsin) and raised in Plainfield and Wautoma (Wisconsin), served with the 15th Army Air Forces, 460th Group during World War II.

He flew twenty missions before being shot down behind enemy lines in Italy where he subsequently evaded capture for two months then spent the remaining time in Stalag Luft I.
