Biography
Peter Veres, author of The Argument of Innocence: A selection from the arts of Kenneth Patchen" was born in 1938 in London. He was raised in Budapest by Hungarian - Jewish parents. The family immigrated to United States in early 1949 and settled in New York City where he attended public school and received a BA from Columbia College. In 1961 he married Ruth and moved to Cambridge. After receiving a Harvard master's degree the couple moved to Berkeley in 1963 where they raised their two children. In the Bay Area he's taught art history at Lone Mountain College, San Francisco and currently is making name as an mosaic artist.
