College dean and home economics educator. Anna E. Richardson was Dean of the Iowa State College Division of Home Economics from 1923 to 1926. She received her B.S. degree from Peabody College for Teachers, Nashville, Tennessee in 1902. Richardson continued her education at the University of Chicago and Columbia University while intermittently teaching in high schools across the South. She received her M.S. degree in 1911 from Columbia University. After 1911 Richardson taught at the University of Texas and at Agnes Scott College for Women. Prior to serving as Dean, Richardson was Chief of Home Economics Education with the U.S. Board of Vocational Education, 1917-1922. As Dean, Richardson focused on developing education in the area of child development.
