Simmons, Michael Trautman, 1814-1867.
Michael T. Simmons emigrated to Oregon in 1844 and settled on Puget Sound in 1845. He played an active role in the establishment of Washington Territory and was appointed superintendent of Indian affairs by Gov. Stevens.
