Western Land and Live Stock Company.
The Western Land and Livestock Company was incorporated in 1881 in Portland, Maine, to carry on the business of stock raising, seal fishery, and lumbering. The company purchased Guadalupe Island for use as a ranch, but later found the property useless for its purposes.
