The Magnolia Beach Improvement Association was incorporated in 1909 by residents of Magnolia Beach, Vashon Island, King County, Wash. The articles of incorporation listed eight purposes for the association, including regulation of two docks on the beach and beach cleanup. The association met regularly during the first few years, but later met only when problems and issues arose. In 1968, the association deeded the two docks to individual members. In 1974, the membership determined that the association had "outlived its usefulness" and the organization was dissolved.
