The Farmer in Charge of Western Shoshone Indians was appointed by the Superintendent of Indian Affairs for Nev. to be the local agent. His district included White Pine, Lander, Nye, Elko, and Lincoln counties of Nev. Incumbants during the 1870s and early 1880s included Levi A. Gheen and H. Price.
