Altman, S. A. (Solomon Aaron), 1853-1943.
Solomon Aaron Altman was born in Elderton, Pa. on 23 April 1853; left by train for Kan. aged 21 in 1875. After becoming a Lincoln County resident he taught school for a period of time and was a farmer until 1919. Afterwards he was a salesman. He married Mary Stites at age 29, and they had 10 children (4 sons, 6 daughters).
