Turner, Alshea
Variant namesAl Turner co-founded the American Waterslide Association in 1980 and in 1981 began publishing a newsletter, News splash, and holding conventions. It was the first organization dealing with water-themed parks and it developed rapidly, changing its name to the World Waterpark Association in 1983. It is a non-profit organization that is now the world's leading water leisure trade association representing 1300 parks and supplier members from 52 countries.
