Norgate, Elias, 1798-1833.
Elias Norgate, an obscure English journalist, lived with John Dunn Hunter, noted Indian captive, frontiersman, and later author, in the same London boarding house in 1824.
Having established a close friendship with Hunter, Norgate wrote a pamphlet at his own expense in 1826 titled Mr. John Dunn Hunter Defended. Norgate later left London and assisted his father in publishing the weekly newspaper in Norwich between 1830 and 1833 when he died suddenly.
