Born in Whitesboro, New York, October 20, 1798; gradated from Yale College, 1816; studied medicine and practiced at Buffalo, New York; member of State assembly, 1835; of State Senate, 1838-1841; Whig, 1843-1847; resumed practiced of law; died in New York City, November 19, 1873.
