The Tennessee Screenwriting Association, Inc., is a nonprofit organization which promotes interest and education in the art and business of film entertainment. It was founded in 1988. The Association publishes a newsletter, most recently entitled Fade in, and offers beginning and advanced classes in screenwriting. It is governed by a board of elected members. Guest speakers at Association functions have included Delbert Mann and Tom Schulman, both Academy Award winners with ties to Nashville. The collection includes some records of the Tennessee Film, Tape and Music Commission.
