Massachusetts. Executive Office of Transportation and Construction

The Executive Office of Transportation and Construction, established pursuant to St 1969, c 704, s 3 (effective Apr. 1971), coordinates and plans state transportation and related public construction policies. As currently described by MGLA c 6A, s 19, it includes the Massachusetts Highway Dept. (formerly Dept. of Public Works) and, with some exceptions, state agencies within it; the Massachusetts Aeronautics Commission; the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority; the Massachusetts Port Authority; the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority; and any regional transportation authorities established pursuant to MGLA c 161B.
