George Albert Gullette (1909 - 1969) was the founder and head of the Social Studies Department at North Carolina State College of Agriculture and Engineering (after 1965, North Carolina State University) from 1947 to 1969. He received his B.A. in English literature from Harvard University in 1933, his M.A. from Vanderbilt University in 1934, and his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in 1944.
