Hinds, Miriam Calhoun.
The scrapbook was created by Miriam Calhoun Hinds' aunts. Hinds' father was a plumbing instructor at the Colored Normal, Industrial, Agricultural and Mechanical College of South Carolina, Orangeburg, S.C. (now South Carolina State University), from 1916 until 1955, and Hinds grew up on the campus. She received her degree from the college in physical education in 1950 and worked on the staff of the Health and Physical Education Department until c. 1955.
