Essayist, minister, farmer. Born in 1928. Resided in Hereford, Lubbock, and Amarillo, Texas. Attended Baylor University and Union Theological Seminary but did not complete his Th. D. Served briefly as a minister in New Orleans, Louisiana, then returned to West Texas to farm. Operated a small publishing house, the Porch Press. Underwent extensive psychiatric treatment for many years and committed suicide in 1975.
