Beulah B. (Brazelton) Gray (1882-1964) was a historian, newspaper owner/editor, and genealogist in Pike County, Ind. She was born in Petersburg, Ind., to Rosalvo and Laura (Capehart) Brazelton. She married Edward Montgomery Gray (circa 1880-1932) in 1903, and the union bore four children. Gray joined the Otwell Star as a reporter in 1920 and was editor from 1929-1945. She purchased the paper in circa 1930. During World War II she corresponded with men and women overseas, including Elsie Whitehurst Lightburn of Norwich, England. Gray retired from the newspaper business in 1950.
