Ball, Lamar Quintero.
Lamar Q. Ball was appointed official World War historian for the state of Georgia by Governor Ellis Arnall (who served 1943-1947). With the help of Mary Louise Cobb, research assistant, Ball prepared Volume I (1939) of GEORGIA IN WORLD WAR II, probably published in 1946. Although Ball had accumulated material to document Georgia all the way through the war years, no other volumes were published.
