Connolly, William, 1840-19

William Connolly emigrated from Ireland to the United States in 1862 for the purpose of joining the Union army. He enlisted at Albany, New York, in March 1862 and served in the Peninsular Campaign, where he was captured in August.

In 1879 Connolly came to Spokane County and settled and farmed near Waverly. He served as a member of the board of county commissioners 1893-1896 and 1905-1906.
