Luchting, Wolfgang A. (Wolfgang Alexander), 1927-
Variant namesWolfgang A. Luchting was born in Munich, Germany, in 1927. He taught Spanish and comparative literature at Washington State University, Pullman, from 1966 until his retirement. In 1961, Luchting began publishing his German translations of Latin American authors, including novels by Ribeyro, Vargas Llosa, and the Chilean writer Manuel Rojas, and numerous critical studies on Peruvian authors, particularly Ribeyro.
