United Railways Company.

The United Railways Company was incorporated in 1906 in Oregon to take over the properties of the Oregon Traction Company. In 1909, the Great Northern Railway Company acquired corporate control and offered a half interest to the Northern Pacific Railway Company. Thereafter, investments were made through the Spokane, Portland, and Seattle Railway Company. In 1944, the corporation was liquidated and all assets became part of the Spokane, Portland, and Seattle Railway Company.
