Kesler, Mack Smith.
Kesler grew up in Salt Lake City and contracted polio at the age of two, which made his right leg useless. He was an excellent athlete, despite having to use crutches while growing up. He later had his right leg amputated and replaced with an artificial limb. He was a faculty member at the University of Utah in Engineering from 1940 until his retirement in 1985.
