Illinois Supreme Court Building Commission.

A commission, comprised of the Governor; Lt. Governor; Secretary of State; Auditor of Public Accounts; State Treasurer; Attorney General; and three Supreme Court justices designated by the court was created to supervise Supreme Court Building construction (1905). The building was designed to house the Supreme Court; the Attorney General's office; the state law library; and the Third District Appellate Court. An initial $350,000 appropriation was increased by additional funds, totaling $300,000 (granted in 1907 and 1908) for the building completion; heating plant connecting tunnel construction; furniture and fixture purchase and installation.
