Turnipseed, Andrew Spencer, 1911-2002.
Methodist minister in Alabama, Florida, and New York State from 1933 to 1978. Leader of the progressive wing within Alabama's Methodist Church during 1940s and 1950s; noted for involvement in civil and human rights issues.
