Harry Worcester Smith (1865-1945) of Worcester and North Grafton, Mass., was a textile machinery inventor, financier, author, and internationally famous horseman.

Smith was one of the pre-eminent sportsmen of his day; master of several hunts; first American to be master of an English hunt; founder of the Masters of Foxhounds Association; author of "A sporting tour through Ireland, England, Wales and France," "Life and sport in Aiken," and "A sporting family of the Old South." Smith was also a businessman who held 40 patents for textile machinery improvements.
