Smith & Lisle (Firm)
Biographical note: Marcus A. Smith and J.L. Lisle may have been law partners in Kentucky. Smith was born in Kentucky and practiced law in Lexington in the 1870s. He practiced in San Francisco from 1879 to 1880, then migrated to Tombstone. He served as Cochise County Attorney from 1883 to 1885 then went into private practice. He was a territorial delegate and one of the first two U.S. Senators from Arizona.
