Cox, Henry L. (Henry Laird), 1809-1872.
Henry Laird Cox entered the Royal Navy in 1824, was promoted to the rank of Commander in 1857. In 1860 he assumed the command of the survey of the coast of Victoria, and remained in this position until his retirement in 1866, with the rank of Captain.
