Arizona rancher.

Yjinio Aguirre was born in Tucson, Arizona, in 1909. A fourth generation pioneer, he has spent much of his life working his family's and his own ranches. From 1947-1952 he supervised the control of hoof and mouth disease in Mexico. Always interested in history, he has published several essays and Echoes of the Conquistadores: the history of a pioneer southwest family. He also portrayed Juan Bautista de Anza in the 500th year reenactment of the de Anza expedition.
