William Boyce, Marmaduke Overend, J. W. Callcott, John Farey
William Boyce (1710-1779) was a musician. Marmaduke Overend (d 1790), organist and composer, was a pupil of William Boyce. John Wall Callcott (1766-1821) was a composer. John Farey (1766-1826), principally a geologist, wrote articles on many subjects, including music. Details are given in the Dictionary of National Biography .
