Joseph F. Green, U.S. Naval officer, commanded the USS Camamdaigua, South Atlantic Blockading Squadron during the Civil War and participated in the bombing of Fort Wagner in 1863. He commanded the U.S. Naval Force, North Atlantic Squadron in 1872-1873.
