Samuel Richardson Coggin (1831-1910) and Moses (Mody) J. Coggins (1824-1902) were early (1857) residents of Brownwood, Brown County, Texas, who had ranching interests in Brown, Coleman, Comanche, and Brewster Counties. They had banking interests in Brownwood and mining interests in Idaho with Henry Ford, another Brownwood resident. They were also involved in ranching interests with Frank Collinson.
