Constructed in 1977 and designed by B.W. Crane and Ralph Anderson, the Frank Erwin Center serves the greater Austin area with the spectacular live entertainment.

Its goals are to provide a first class experience to all guests who enter the building and to support the university's mission and provide benefits to the Central Texas community. A wide range of performers and groups that have appeared at the Erwin Center include UT men's and women's basketball, Bob Dylan, the Harlem Globetrotters, Lawrence Welk, Beach Boys, Moody Blues, the Moscow Circus, Marcel Marceau, Janet Jackson, Frank Zappa, Bette Midler, The Who, Sesame Street Live, and so many more.
