The Legal Division of the Dept. of Finance was created in 1939 to furnish advice and legal opinions to the Director of Finance and to that Dept. as a whole. The Legal Division represents the State in all litigation affecting the Department. The Chief of the Legal Division represents the State Board of Adjustment and other state corporations in all legal matters and performs clerical duties prescribed by the Board of Adjustment. The Division is also responsible for the issuance and delivery of all bonds for state corporations.
