Schwendiman, Fred A. (Fred Austin), 1919-2004

Schwendiman was the assistant vice president in charge of the phyhsical plant at Brigham Young University. He later was named support services vice president at BYU.

Fred A. Schwendiman was an administrator at Brigham Young University. He came to the university at the urging of Ernest L. Wilkinson. His responsibilities included planning and construction, student housing, food services, auxiliary services, laundry, purchasing, warehousing, property management, bookstore, and farm properties. He was also involved with the planning and construction of the Jerusalem Center for Near Eastern Studies in the 1980s.
