Styer, William, b. 1832.
A native of Ohio, Styer moved to Kokomo, Ind. During the Civil War he served with Company D of the 89th Indiana Volunteer Regiment as a second lieutenant. In March 1863 Styer was put in command of the military prison at Fort Pickering in Memphis, Tenn. After the war he returned to Kokomo and in 1881 bought Spring Mills.
