Drew, George.
The first permanent white settlers arrived in Seattle, WA in November 1851. The early settlement was called several names but in 1853 the name Seattle was the name on the first registered plats of the town. Since the time of settlement, Seattle has grown to become the largest city in the Pacific Northwest Region.
