Dudley Woodbridge was born in Stonington, Conn. on Oct. 9, 1747. After graduating from Yale University in 1766, he moved on Norwich, Conn. He married Lucy Backus on Apr. 28, 1774. In 1788 they moved to Marietta, Ohio, where Mr. Woodbridge served as judge of the peace. He died in Marietta on Aug. 6, 1823.
