Moore (Harvard, M.D. 1939) was appointed Moseley Professor of Surgery at the Harvard Medical School and surgeon-in-chief at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in 1948. Moore's work in surgical research has related to the metabolic care of the postoperative patient, application of radioactive isotopes to surgical studies, the surgery of duodenal ulcer, breast cancer, and tissue transplantation.
